I am qualified in NLP and Ericksonian Hypnotherapy which has its origins tied to NLP. It is important to explain that NLP refers to Neuro-Linguistic Programming.
NLP is a branch of applied psychology which looks at how we use language and its impact on our lives. By understanding the words we use, we can change how we speak to empower ourselves. NLP in simple terms is just that. Many times these skills have been referred to as magic because they work so effectively. When I work with a Muslim client and they learn that it’s more empowering for them to say “I want” rather than “I have to” for example, they feel so good all of a sudden. This change of state could be thought of as magical.
I have been working with hypnosis and NLP for sometime and I have not witnessed anything that would make me think that it is connected to jinns in any way.. Hypnotherapy is based on science and language. It is a process that allows people to relax and access their own inner wisdom. I will use words like “you are relaxed” but that does not mean that I have asked a Jinn to come and join me. This idea seems to be based on lack of understanding or perhaps some kind of fear.
Jinns are a creation of Allah swt. They exist in a different realm from us. There have been cases of people seeing or interacting with Jinns but hypnotherapy as I have known it or use it is not one of them. I accept that there are many modes of hypnotherapy that people can use. Hypnotherapy involves using language, and making suggestions to people to promote healing.
If you could imagine a future that is bright, filled with abundance, good health, love and a strong Imaan, wouldn’t you do that? Hypnotherapy is often about going within and having this wonderful vision for your life.
